The Bad Mergentheim Wildlife Park has more than 70 species of animal on a total of 35 hectares of land. There is hardly any wire mesh, cages or fences here – nearly all enclosures in the park are made with barely noticeable boundaries and outdoor enclosures are made as close to nature as possible.
Naturalness and the keeping of animals in accordance with the requirements of the species are the focus of the wildlife park. Predominantly natural materials are used for the enclosures and facilities and the ecological compatibility is taken into account in all activities.
Get very close to the animals during feeding time on a tour with the animal keepers.
The sight of the largest wolf pack in Europe is perhaps the most impressive view in the wildlife park. Up to 30 animals suddenly appear in front of you and eat in an orderly fashion according to their rank within the pack.
Dogs are allowed on a short leash.
